All these times, I’d watched a lot of feature films from different genres and from different sources like video games, visual novels and light novels or a film adaptation of a certain anime series. Probably, those films based from video games are typically boring since I believe that the plots are relatively weak. Yet I admire the graphics and visual effects of such films, well if I am on the mood of watching action-adventure story then those video games movie adaptations are my first options.
Sengoku Basara: The Last Party is an anime film based from the Sengoku Basara video game series and it was also the last in the anime series adaptation showing the fans of the final battle of different characters in the story.
The story is not really engaging and interesting if I will give my opinion, maybe it is because I am kinda fed up of the setting of the entire film. The Sengoku period on which warring warlords ruled the land was just very common with the participation of many famous Japanese figures in the given period.
The fight scenes are literally good if not that great, and I think it is one of the edges of the film that keeps my spirit interested to finish watching it until the end. Furthermore, there are many interesting characters in the game though I kinda feel out of place since I don’t have that much of knowledge about the Sengoku Basara video game series. What I like about the film is that T.M. Revolution sung both the opening and ending song; definitely the opening simply reminds me of “Vestige” his song from the Gundam Seed Destiny Final Plus. Well, below are my favorite characters in the story.
